The question on your lips must be; for those who set up their ads properly why is it not converting?
After confirming the ads are set up properly, we ask to see the animated explainer video used. When we got to see them, we concluded the animated explainer video is at fault.
How?
Let me explain;
There are many factors that can make your audience not to watch your animated explainer video and also not to take action too.
Reasons your Animated Explainer Videos are not Bringing Results
The reasons your animated explainer videos are not converting your visitors to buyers include;
1. Script
The script needs to be interesting to read up if this first step fails then you still not going to get the best conversion. Remember an interesting story is hard to stop reading, you just want to know more about it and how it ended. The same thing goes for the script, the audience will want to know how it ended. This is why using a story to write a script is very important, you never know how many people your story really relates to their lives, this makes them take action really quickly.
Note: There must be a call to action after explaining your service/product else nobody is going to take action after watching the video. This will get you more conversions than ever.
2. Background Music
Music can be interesting and engaging or boring, it can energize you or make you lazy or even sleep off.
I remembered when I was a kid, I go to work with my dad once in a while, he worked in a factory. My first time entering the factory I notice they played energetic music with good speakers; the music was actually “Dr. Dre (ft Snoop Dogg) – Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang” I was like wow! Is this a club or a factory? I said to myself.
After work that day I asked my dad why they played hip-hop music during work hours in the factory? He answered; that music’s played will always energize you and make you perform better and faster in the factory, thus making the workers produce more products per day.
I never doubted because I was actually nodding my head while walking alongside my dad in the factory the whole time.
You should agree with me if you have gone to parties where energizing music is played (hip-hop), you really would not sit and do nothing. There is this part of your brain that makes your body moves without your intension. That’s how powerful music is.
Adding background music to an explainer video makes a lot of difference than not adding.
3. The Storyboard
The storyboard used for each part of your script plays a great role to make a great connection between the script and the mind. This has to do with the psychology of what will trigger the brain and in some way explain better than the words in the script. Trust me, clients get excited and stunned how we get to know the best storyboard for their script. That’s years of experience talking!
4. Video Animation (Engaging Effect)
The engaging effect on the video; the hand moving, left to right, right to left. All these fast movements cannot be ignored about the effect it has on the video and on the mind. It’s like a surprise to the mind and when this is done, the minds want to see more surprises. Who doesn’t love surprises? Well, nobody.
5. The Voiceover
The voiceover and the speed plays a great role, some voiceovers are energetic, while some are boring.
However, a fast voiceover is not advisable to go with because it might lead to the audience finding it hard to hear what is being said. Well, if you think your audience will be okay with it, you can proceed.
We got lots of moderate speed voiceover artists that are energetic.
6. The Video Length
This is one thing to be conscious about. You really need not use a lot of time to talk about your product or service. Because people got other things doing and there are many factors that can distract a person of today. You know when the story is too long it might make you lose interest. That’s why not more than 90 seconds video length is recommended by us, a maximum of 120seconds (2 minutes). Imagine after watching to about 75% of the video and the audience skips the call the action all because it’s too long you going to hate yourself.
7. Video Quality
This is a pain in the ass, you’re will agree with me. There is no way anybody will enjoy watching a blur video. A high-quality video is really so important too.
A blur video gives headaches. You are using your audience time already, make them smile instead of giving them pain.
8. The Music to Voiceover Volume
When the volume of the background music is too high, the audience tends to stress their ear to hear the voiceover. No audience is going to go that far stressing his/her ears to hear the voiceover. You’re taking their time already make good use of it.
All these combined can raise your conversion a lot higher, no doubt about this.
After pointing out these factors to those clients, they always want us to create an animated explainer video for them. And they get conversions when they run ads with it.
